I wish that I was better at welding but it was a fun project. I have a few touch up to do and I also have to add the burners to the top and bottom levels. While I left it so that when I sparge into my brew pot it will have to sit on the ground. Then I'll move it to the bottom level and begin...
So I was looking at all the great idea's on here about making a stand and being that I don't have all the tools to create most of them I gathered enough information and came up with my own idea. Went to Northern Tool and picked up a $30 hand truck. Stopped by the pawn shop and got a sweet deal...
It looks like everything is the same as a regular corny keg to me except for the lid. The same o-rings should work for the lid and posts. The shape of the lid is just more round and not rectangular. I have beer in both if mine for about three weeks now and I am happy I have them. Will buy two...
Wouldn't hurt as far as what I have read up on. Seems to me that a majority of brewers may let it sit for about a month in the primary before moving it. So a total of three weeks may help finish the fermintation. Good luck.
My Kegco kegs do NOT look like that picture in the link but they didn't post enough pictures to be able to tell. I think they are different company's. Similar but not the same. My Coke kegs measure at 22 1/4 inches tall while the Kegco ones I posted earlier are at 24.5 inches tall. The...
Just tried some Vanilla Porter I picked up from Whole Foods...think its called Breckenridge Brewery from Colorado. I loved the stuff so I started searching for something similar and found this chain and sounds like everyone is very happy with it. Will be trying this as my first out of box...
I received my two kegs and I agree with Jeffd10.....they are great! They need a really good cleaning as they are dirty as heck. I have compared the these with the old coke kegs and they are a few inches taller. The dip tube is longer due to this and the ball locks are exchangeable. If I were...
I hope you mean cheap as in $$$$ and not quality. The top and bottom dont have any plastic or rubber protection so i would think they would be lighter then others. I like knowing that it has not had who knows what inside of it and saved me a bunch of dough. Looking forward to getting them...
That's what I would hope for however I figured if there was to much pressure then it would force the beer right out when it was depressed. Guess I could test it with water prior with extra pressure just to get it right.
Should have the two new ones next week.
I agree with ya about as long as it fills my glass however my lids don't have a release valve....If the pressure is accidentally to high I am going to have issues constantly removing the gas line and trying to release the pressure through the poppet valve. Sounds to me like it will be messy. A...
@ Smagee - How hot did it ferment? The first day I put into primary I was unable to cool it down enough and it stayed at 80 degrees. The second night/third morning it was down to 73/74 steady. Hopefully this will be ok. I can just know start to smell alcohol from the airlock and the brew...
What do you think about this deal???

I just bought a 4 pack of corny kegs and they are completely beat to hell. Still work however did not realize that they were pin lock prior to making the...
I have picked up a Brewers Best Belgian Triple kit the other day and have been reading up on aging it. I have a few questions....
The kit instructions say that you can drink it in five weeks or so. A lot of experienced brewers have said that they let it age for at least 9 months. Has anyone...
