I usually brew 8gal to yield 6 after the ddh. I got some freestyle riwaka and some nz 109. Excited to brew tomorrow 🙏🏽

First week it had prominent lime , orange zest aromas. I now get a lot of stone fruit with an orange flavor.

Hazy pale ale turned out phenomenal. I’m loving rakau.

Sampling my: salad days Hazy pale ale 5.5% abv Rahr 2 row Flaked oats Og: 1.062 Fg: 1.020 Hops: citra Cryo, rakau, quantum citra,nelson. Kegged on Sunday. Needs more time to carb but taste superb, aroma is crazy zesty. I took the inspiration from fidens teachers pet.

I usually base my hop ratios according to what hop I want to shine and what hops will compliment that hop. I usually do 5 to 6 lbs/bbl . I would add Superdelic and citra in the whirlpool @ 2 lbs/bbl equal parts and dry hop @ 2:1:1 rakau:citra:Superdelic. Citra, Superdelic being my first dry hop...

You can’t go wrong with either. Superdelic is fantastic. I’ve used it my whirlpool and as my base hop. I’ve actually used all citra, rakau and Superdelic in a double ipa that turned out amazing.
