    Fermenting Under Pressure

My reply was to the op's question.

    Fermenting Under Pressure

If you are using the red pressure relief valve that came with it, it releases at around 4-5 psi.

Personally I just let mine go for two weeks. I don't have a refractometer to accurately measure final gravity and make sure it is done fermenting. I also work out of town during the week, so it makes it easier for me this way. As long as you have liquid in the airlock, there is no problem...

Funny, I backed the kit for the pro and haven't been checking up on the kickstarter. Makes sense now how it works. Thanks.

What is the purpose of the extra 5 hop paks (mini's) in the initial bundle?

So just to throw another monkey wrench into the pac failure discussion. I have had two pacs fail (they came unglued at the "lid"), neither was a darker beer, both were Helles pacs. Neither failed to the point of causing the step filter to fill up, but both caused bits of grain to partially...

Thanks Denny, I was hoping Lucky Envelope came with 34/70 and I could use it for both Helles batches. Not home so I can't check the box, but someone said it came with WB-06, which I thought was a little weird. Edit: Looks like they were mistaken, it does come with 34/70. Looks like a double...

I will be brewing Berliner Helles (S-23) and El Marron Dark (K-97) this weekend. Although I also have Lucky Envelope Helles, does this come with W-34/70?

    Co2 Regulators

This is exactly what I do in mine.

    Regulator question

Would a bad check valve on the manifold cause this?
