Yeah, it was my first time brewing ALL GRAIN. My homebrew experience up to that point had been all extract. I really enjoyed the process though. I wish I had a rig like theirs in my house.

I have been homebrewing since 2007.

The beer I made at Kiuchi Brewery arrives this week, so I'll be drinking that.

BTW, we had them send us blank labels. We're having a party and we'll hand out sharpies so everyone can write their own label.

My friend and I went to this brewery in Japan and made beer in their equipment. It was pretty cool. We made this video too. It was really fun. Anyone know of any breweries in the US that allow you to brew on premises? Trevor

That's the other thing I wanted to know. How much should I add? I only have a coffee maker. So I guess that's how I'll be making my coffee. How much coffee to 5gal of beer?

I had this really great chocolate raspberry stout in Maryland and they told me all they did was add a gourmet flavored coffee to the brew to give it that excellent flavor. SO...I'm going to try it. My Christmas brew is fermenting now. It's an Imperial stout with 12.5lbs malt and 1lb brown...

I'm sure whatever you try will turn out fine. What's the worst that could happen? You make beer? That's never a bad thing.

I was looking at my kegging options at my local homebrew store and I found a much cheaper kegging system. They have these three bottles that will hold 5 gallons altogether and each acts as a mini keg. When you're ready to use them, you just add the CO2 and they're ready to go. I'm going that...

Um... I went to the homebrew store and told the guy my problem and he handed me a clear packet with two sections. That's all I know, sorry.

I had the same problem. I put my carboy in the refrigerator and it actualy got worse, though it's probably cause it got shook up in the process of moving it there. I ended up puting in a clearing solution and it cleared right up.

So I'm wating to hear how it turned out. The book is out this Saturday, will you be drinking butter beer as you read? I have to know!!!!

I'm in the Navy so I asked a few of the chiefs and officers what to do early on in my career. The overwhelming answer was to eat CARBS and drink water. 1 water for every beer and eat carbs and starches.

Is that really all there is to it? could I just throw a gallon of cider in the freezer and pour out the alcohol? I don't think that will work. Slowly thawing it sounds okay, but at what point am I pouring apple jack and what point am I just pouring thawed cider?
