    how long can i ferment in primary

    hello everyone on 6-23-13 I brewed a blonde ale with ginger I normally ferment for four weeks then bottle, do to life happening I have not been able to bottle. it is still in the primary and climate controlled it looks good, and smells good, I'm going to bottle it tomorrow, or should I dump it

    Warm weather brewers...fermentation chamber...

    i'm in the yuma area i have a fifteen year old fridge outside works great, ferment in the fridge store bottles in the freezer, i keep my control box set with about a 3 degree offset

    Is this an alternative to an immersion wort chiller

    i had the same buget problem went to walmart got a 7$ plastic tub, drilled 4 1/4 inch hole in one end, froze 4 2 liter bottles. drill hole a couple inchs up from buttom of tub, place pot in tub place as many frozen bottles around the tub that u can place a hose in opposite side from holes...

    second batch ? on og test

    brewed my second batch today, forgot to take gravity test before adding yeast, took one after was around .048 which the reciepe called for .044-.048 can i go by it. it is a extract kit from moore beer, blonde ale,

    another newby ?

    ok so for fermenting will go by the temp on my carboy. for the bottles my house stays around 73 degrees but with warmer days ahead it can get up to around 80,is that to warm, i plan on them sitting for 3 weeks. not sure what temp to keep them after that

    i live in southern ca where room temp is in the mid 70's, i set up a johnson control on a fridge to ferment in, i plan to keep it at around 68. my ? is i just bottled a batch , is 68 to low of a temp for the bottles, i was thinking of putting them in with the next batch while it ferments:mug:

    first brew ?

    just bottled my first batch, was left in primary for 4 weeks fg was rite on, color was great, smell was good, good taste but tasted kinda watery is this normal. it is a true brew october fest malt extract

    first time brew

    thanks for the replys, the kit was a liquid extract. as for the bucket it was shipped with a glass carboy in it, causing some lite scatching. I will go get a new one food grade.

    hello everyone. I just brewed my first batch of brew ever, my wife bought me a kit about a year ago and i finnaly got around to doing a batch. It was a truebrew october fest, followed the instructions with the exception of screening the hops. it has been fermenting for two weeks i have not done...
