tektonjp, are pickups offered so we don't have to pay shipping? If so, where are you located? I think I had some bad liquid yeast (30 hours no activity) so looking for dry but need quickly. Thanks!

Mike, I am also in Yokosuka and have been brewing here for awhile. I know right where you can get CO2 and also the adapter needed to make a US regulator fit the Japanese bottle. Tek is right on with the prices. PM me when you get back and I will give you a hand! :mug:

That's the one beauty about living on the military base, commissary had plenty of distilled water.

Ball lock kegs are the newer style and thus will be supported longer. I personally like ball lock too because they are more secure. Pin lock style twist on to lock so if you twist back, they can come off. Also, ball lock use a standard socket too remove the stem and also have a pressure relief...

Im using 5 gallon Cornelius kegs and love them. If you go that route make sure you get ball lock, not pin lock style.

Mctinmd, Not 100% sure about Yokota but I am in Yokosuka and brew quite a bit as do others that I know and have never had a problem. I brew right out in the open on my back porch. I would say you are completely fine. Welcome to Japan!

Hello everyone, new to the site here. Navy home brewer here stationed in Yokosuka. Was hoping someone could help me out and point me in the right direction to find CO2 here close to base? Thanks everyone! Erik
