    So who's brewing this weekend?

I'll be bottling a batch of EdWort's Apfelwien, and possible an English Bitter.

    Commercial IPAs

Sierra Nevada and Heavy Seas Loose Cannon are two of my favorites.

I sold it all for beer!

This. It's a win-win really. You're cleaning out the garage, and supporting you hobby without impacting the checkbook in any way.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

    Bottling an IPA this weekend.

All IPAs should have "best by" dates

Question for the more experienced brewers: how long can your IPAs sit in the bucket before the hoppiness starts to fade?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Dad and I are brewing a bitter while my Wife, Mother, and Mother-in-law all go to a spa tomorrow.

    My Fermentation Chamber Build

Subscribed. I was just up at MDHB yesterday, good to know there's locals on here. I've been thinking of something like this myself, although I was maybe going to use a window A/C instead of a minifridge.

    Octane IPA

I've got a batch sitting in the primary since Monday (Friday now). This weekend I'll probably add the oak chips, but I'm debating if I should add them straight to the primary or rack it to secondary first.

    Nerdy label I just made

The only downside to brewing a batch of MI grog is the way it eats through your mugs...

Sam Adam's Season Pack ... ehhh

Definitely the biggest of the small fish. I seem to recall in Beer Wars (good documentary if you haven't seen it) Jim Koch (sp?) observes that BMC spills more beer per year than he sells. They're not the best, but "gateway beer" is a valuable niche that someone has to fill.

    Third batch in the fermenter!

I've been drinking my first brew for about a week now, my second (an oatmeal stout) is sitting in the bucket for another week, and I just got a turkey frier for making the third batch.

    What are you drinking now?

My first homebrew. An amber bock (from kit). Not amazing, but pretty good. I'm really excited about future brews.

    What is the best micro-brewery

Best is definitely impossible, but for favorite I'd have to go for Heavy Seas (formerly Clipper City). Their beers are darn good, and it's abou 20 minutes from my house :)

    Newbie brewer questions

Thanks for the quick replies folks! Right now I've got a bucket primary and two better bottles. There's a very good chance I may be buying a turkey frier and either buying or making a chiller in the near future. If I decide at some point to get a second primary, I'll definity look into a 6.5...

    Newbie brewer questions

I've got this stout and the airlock hasn't bubbled after a few days... I kid, I kid. Seriously though, I've got my fist homebrew batch in bottles, and the few I've drank so far are quite tasty. The stout is fermenting, I'll probably crack it open for a hydrometer reading tomorrow. I think...
