    2L Mead Trial.

    My plan was to rack it into a sterile pan (with a lid) then clean original DJ and rack back into that, used this method before and noting went to badly wrong. 1.5L at the end sounds spot on, two wine bottles full. It's only a trial, if it works well I'll make the full 5L maybe 25L. Thanks...

    Thanks, just placed the order for the yeast. The lemon juice was because I've always placed it in cider and my other wines, its become a bit of a habit! The orange was important to me as I like the idea of raspberry and orange together, sounds like a sweet smooth flavor!

    That was my question at the end, its my first mead I'm not sure what kind of yeast to use. With my cider I used a standard 'Youngs Cider Yeast', and with my wine I used a standard 'Youngs All Purpose Red Yeast' :(

    This is the smallest container i've got for it :(. As it stands now I took the lid off for approx 5 hours with a damp cloth placed over the top and held in place with a elastic band.     Thanks, just got my first bubble! Getting roughly one every ten minutes or so. Going to take the lid off tomorrow and put a fresh, clean dish cloth over the top of it for a few hours or so :).

    Ahhh, thanks for that! I think I've changed my plan again though. The extra juice I was going to add is out of the window and I'll count this as cider with a hint of other flavors, not flavored cider. I'll make flavored cider next time aha. Thanks for all the help guys, this is great :D.

    Ahh! That's interesting! My plan is a half a teaspoon of sugar to each bottle (varying 330ml-500ml) I'm going to see how this brew goes and maybe add a bit of fruit juice to each bottle, for example with a 330ml bottle i might add 300 cherry cider and then 30ml of cherry juice or concentrate...

    My cider doesn't have any fruit particles in it :p. And yeah the smell is worse on some, the mango is AWFUL but the others are bearable.
