Fridgidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerator Kegerator Build - 5 taps, 2.75” spacing

Modified CO2 for upright storage. Should hold 5.5 kegs easy this way. Added some more pics, you can see the inside fridge info, and how the shanks fit. Note the pilot hole, i needed to shift the template. Luckily this oops is covered by the black collar. Important again to measure thrice...

Fridgidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerator Kegerator Build - 5 taps, 2.75” spacing

Appreciate the feedback. I know the bigger cylinders in industrial settings, it’s a no-no, but for some reason didn’t consider it. I may move it to a door shelf, or just in the corner. I doubt I’ll completely fill with kegs, but who knows…

Fridgidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerator Kegerator Build - 5 taps, 2.75” spacing

Thanks for the insights. Makes sense based on location. I’ll leave well enough alone for now, then.

Fridgidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerator Kegerator Build - 5 taps, 2.75” spacing

Step 5 tape template, say a prayer, drill holes- The curve of the door rears its ugly head for the first of many times, as it’s really hard to draw a level line with a wax pen, but i managed. I decided to go with a template on graph paper and taped it to the door. Use a 1/4”” bit first to make...

Fridgidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerator Kegerator Build - 5 taps, 2.75” spacing

I wanted to share my recent build as there’s not much on here of late on managing kegerator builds in more modern household refrigerators. This is not a super detailed build thread, it’s a pragmatic build using as much hardware on hand as possible. Goal was to get the brewery back up and...

    French door refrigerator kegerator project

as fridge fate has it, i think a counter depth French door is the direction I’m’ headed for my new build. Sure, this thread is 8 years old, but did it get finished? Looks fantastic, but wondering about the drip tray. I’m working with a Frigidaire gallery that is having a struggling freezer...

    Free "whats on tap" software.

I’m also researching this. I’m willing to pay up to $30/year, which i think is where tap list.io is, but free would be better. My constraint is a very old iPad in kiosk mode will be my dedicated display. So I’ll set it up on a MacBook/iPad Pro, but display it on the old iPad mounted to the...

Keg elevation during fully closed-loop transfer between kegs

You definitely need to vent the keg. Letting it bleed is ok if transfer is constant. using a low set spund on the outlet is not a good idea for a carboy, unless you can pressurize it more than 3-4 psi, or you’ll have same issue. Please be very careful with these closed transfer carboy kits...

The Droid: Anvil Bucket fermenter with TempTwister Cooling Coil

Forgot to mention, I’m running with an inkbird TC taped to the outside wall of the bucket, (away from the aquarium heater) and an old camping mat foam pad wrapped around with bungee cord. I only have either the heater, or the chiller plugged in at a given time, to keep the control smooth. I...

The Droid: Anvil Bucket fermenter with TempTwister Cooling Coil

About 18 months ago, my lay down temp control chamber gave up the ghost. I hated to drag another freezer in the basement, so i built a DIY window A/C glycol chiller. The chiller DIY went pretty smooth, and I’m surprised more people don’t do this. My plan was to use the anvil brewbucket and my...

    Mosaic S.M.A.S.H. (yellow rose clone)

Brewed a double batch of this a few months ago. 3rd or 4th time brewing this recipe, inspired by my cousin in Houston who worships this beer. Life has slowed down my brewing, so I tossed this in a comp to fill out my 3 entries (nothing else left). Did well in pale ale category well past its...

    My "K3" 14.8cf Keezer Build

Wow, great build!! My ferm chamber just died. Which means I have no choice but to decomission my 7 cuft keezer, and upscale to 6 keg and 6 taps!!! (Use the old keezer as ferm chamber, strip the taps. Quick question, do you remember the size you used for K2? That might fit my space...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Have been off HBT a while, just checking in about 20 batches and 18 months with a 1.5" 9gph beta steam slayer from @Bobby_M , and very happy. I've been creeping up to 35% on my 5 gallon batches, 38% on my 9 gallon max batches. (5500 W ripple from brewhardware) Thanks to @BrunDog for sharing...
