    I'm brewing at New England IPA on Friday for the first time and have done research, but wanted to throw out is topic here to see if I can get any last minute tips on brewing the NE IPA. Whether it's the grain bill, the hop schedule, the dry hop, etc. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

    One more question, you said you boil the pineapple? Does that change the flavor profile? Couldn't you just pasteurize it at 161 for a minute or so and clear it of any bacteria?

    So an update on my brew...again I toasted 8 oz and put that in the mash and toast 16 oz and put in the secondary...this was a toasted coconut porter. Turned out amazing, but the coconut flavor began to subside after 2 weeks. Next time I will leave the toasted coconut in the secondary for 2 full...

    That's a good question...if I'm putting it in the secondary should I soak the toasted coconut in vodka before pitching in the secondary?
