I would probably do the second option (I almost said, "Do #2" lol) while I waited to find the first option. I doubt that you would have a problem with off flavors if you use beverage hose since the beer sits in there on the way to the tap normally.
I was thinking of doing this too, Izzie. Figured I could use the cut out bottom piece to make a false bottom by drilling a metric crap ton of holes in it. Keep me posted on how it comes out if you do it.
Cheers! :mug:
Build the STC for both heating and cooling, just use the cooling side of the unit. Eventually you might need the heating side, best to have it there for you then.
Cheers :tank:
Hey everyone. I am starting to move into all grain brewing and am needing a mill to grind my grains. I saw this mill while browsing AliExpress today and wondered if anyone had anything to say about it. It says it has stainless steel rollers. It does not say whether it has bearings or bronze...
Since today was day 5, I set the ITC-1000 to 72 last night. Seeing a little more airlock activity now but not a whole lot really. Just a blurp every few seconds. There is still a 4 inch cap of krausen on the wort and a good 2 inches of yeasty trub at the bottom.
