I am about to try and externally mount a bracket to the exterior side of my Kegorator. Can you share what you used to secure the bracket to the kergorator?
So, the negative pressure is what I was mainly thinking of. I could pressurize it while it cools. Thank you.
Did not consider the glued base. If it comes off, I'll report back after I reattach it with some construction adhesive.
I am going to keg iced tea and cold brew and dispense using nitrogen or argon. I'm thinking through my sanitization practices to extend refrigerated shelf life.
Are there any concerns with pouring boiling water into a sanitized keg and letting it cool?
For iced tea, I would boil and steep in...
Reopening an old post - those of you who are bulking aging in kegs, are you using sealed kegs for the entire span of bulk again? Or are you starting with carboys for a few months to allow some off byproducts to escape the wine?
I have the same issue...but your link no longer works. What did you discover for your process? I'm about to begin wine making using my homebrewing kegs and would like to know your experience.
Do you still bottle? I'm considering only bottling from the tap using a counter-pressure filler for the occasional bottle for a friend. Is there a benefit to bottle aging after aging in the keg?
I am also moving the CO2 outside of the unit onto a mounted cylinder holder. And thoughts on the most appropriate screws to hold the weight of the cylinder/regulator/mount to the outside skin of the unit?
I am looking at using a bouncer, or this stainless filter. I think I'd prefer the bouncer though if I can find the MD version in stock. Let me know if you ended up trying anything
Hi guys. I used both a Mark II and a purpose-built washer (one cleans, the other rinses). That said, I just got my first 10-gallon kettle, and it is 1/2" too wide for the Mark II.
Question: Any thoughts on how to funnel water back into the Mark II basin? I'm not willing to give up the Mark II...
Yup. Starting more of the hose in the donating barrel and pulling it out is definitely a great way to go. That said, it would be cool if I could find a food/heat safe primer bulb.
I got lucky yesterday. I walked in the homebrew shop and they had a used stainless 10 gallon kettle with a ball...
