Hey guys, I am going to brew a recipe that calls for northern brewer hops 6.5% alpha acids. I looked on AHS website and can only find them at 10.4%. What is the best way to adjust?
Hey guys, I was thinking about doing a BIAB. Do any of you have any experience with this? I was wondering, what would the best way to calculate for boil off?
I don't think so man, not for lagering temps. Your idea sounds cool, but have you ever thought about a chest freezer with a temp controller? That is what I have now and it works great! $50 craigslist freezer and about $50 for the controller.
Lumpher, are you using a chiller hooked up to your hose? I am also here in Texas and was thinking about making a chiller, but i am concerned with the heat around here.
Some people have luck doing this with a spigot and some don't, i am in the don't group. I now have a temp controlled fermenter, but when I first started I used coolers and ruined my first batch by using a bucket with a spigot. +1 on just spending the extra 15 bucks on a bucket without a spigot,
