Is it because the different kind of tea? I use black tea for fermenting the buch, i think the guy selling the scoby is using green tea because i bought the kombucha his selling too, and it has lighter color then mine.
That is my theory, i guess. Please correct me if im wrong

This is actually my first time making kombucha, i got the scoby from online store in my country, it arrived with clean white color. After a couple of days fermenting it has something black above the scoby. I just wondering is it mold or not? if its not then what it is? please...
