    Blonde Ale Bombshell Blonde Ale

Hi Desert Sky. Just tasting my first batch that I used kolsch yeast as you said to try. Really good and totally different from the first one I made with american ale yeast. Has a slight fruit chardonnay wine like taste. I fermented at 64F. Is that how you would describe yours when you...

American Pale Ale Cascades / Orange Pale Ale

Just tasted one of these after two weeks in bottle. Really nice. Not ready yet of course. Got a keg of it carbing up also. Think this came out really good. Thanks for the recipe.

Why does my beer clear in bottles, but not kegs?

You must be siphoning too much trub into the keg. My kegs always pour crystal clear. Once the keg empties I hardly have any debris in the bottom. If you think about it kegs should be better than bottles. They essentially cold crash the entire time they are carbing which is equal to leaving a...

    Kegging a stout

I keg mine if it's not an imperial or something that I want to age for a long time. I don't have nitrogen either. I use about 8psi with my stouts and a 7 foot line. They come out great.

I tried magnets and it didn't work. Ended up using double sided tape from hardware store. Doesn't budge. Even with full glasses on it.

    Time Fermenting Before Kegging

I think in this case they were using the word ferment to include fermenting and conditioning. At least that is the way I took it. And I think that was the way that most people that responded took it. ?? Don't know, could be mistaken. Just me.

    Time Fermenting Before Kegging

Usually 7-10 days primary 2-3 weeks secondary Keg and put on CO2 for 2-3 weeks before serving I don't force carb. I have just started kegging about 4 months ago and from what I have noticed so far it takes at least 3-4 weeks for the beer to get carbed really nice.

    More noob questions

As far as the hose goes 3/16 is good but get it from brew store. As I understand it must be made for liquid dispensing. I think the inside is nice and smooth, as not to create disruptions. ?? Something like that. And for the tail piece nuts that secure the line to the tail piece, get the ones...
