    Beersmith App Recipe export

I have been using the Beersmith app to help me create recipes for several months. I find it very useful and an excellent way to store my recipes ( I am quite disorganised) However, recently I had a recipe corrupt for an unknown reason. This event has scared me so I require a way to back-up...

    Oat Malt Stout

Hello, I got this recipe from a book. Could anyone shine light on it and tell me whether they think its OK or needs adjusting at all. It looks to me like a lot of crystal malt, is there too much. Malt Bill 2.7kg Pale Malt 1kg Oat Malt 1kg Dark Crystal 800g Chocolate Malt 500g Dark DME Thanks

    Pacific Gem and Triskel

Hi, I have about 75g of Pacific Gem and 25g of Triskel that need using. I bought them cheaply and havent yet found much use for them. I understand the Pacific Gem is more suited to bittering and the Triskel aroma. I also have 100g of Angus... I can't decide whether to brew a dark or light...

    Northern English Nut Brown Ale

As an experiment I have made for the following recipe, I will brew it tomorrow. Unless anyone replies saying it will turn out disgusting. I am trying to use up some old-ish malt hence why the base malt is mixed. 19l batch. 1kg Maris Otter 2.2kg Pale Malt (Crisp) 600g Brown Malt...

    Northern English Nut Brown Ale

I usually make a 19l batch as that's about the maximum I can boil in my copper. But I could do a smaller batch to use up all of the Brown Malt. I have just weighed it. I have 650g of Brown Malt.

    Northern English Nut Brown Ale

As I live in the north of England, I thought it would be appropriate to try and brew a Northern English Nut Brown Ale. I would like to achieve a dark brown ale with the nice nutty taste present in beers such as; Samuel Smiths Nut Brown Ale. Althought with my own choice of hops and an increased...

Thank very much for the recipe. It worked out very nice indeed. I have since brewed 2 more batches, only changing the hops. Thanks again!

Recommend a recipe - From my ingredients

Bottled the brew yesterday. The smell was absolutely mouth watering, it had a lovely amber/brown colour and the ABV came out at 5.4%. I can't wait to give it a try. My gut feeling is that this will be much nicer than the AG Bitter I bottled yesterday as well. Thanks for the help, I'll report...

Recommend a recipe - From my ingredients

I'm the same, although the opposite. I can't think in imperial at all. Which can be annoying as the majority of web based beer recipes are from your side of the Atlantic. Many thanks for the recipe, I might get that going this evening. It sounds like it should turn out really nice. Cheers!

Thanks for the help. I have currently have an English bitter in a fermenter, so maybe an American amber - brown would be nice. Could that utilise my malt extracts and then steep some of the crystal and brown malts?
