I was actually thinking about using something different for the bittering hop for that reason. I have some left over magnum in the freezer. I think im going to change it up next bath.
Whats the difference between ctz and Columbus?
I'm going to buy chiller because I want to be able to repeat my recipes.
I'm still thinking about doing the same hop regiment but letting the hops whirlpool for 15 mins then starting my immersion chiller. Do you think that's long enough? I'm not sure how quickly my chiller will work?
I don't do any boil hops other than my 60 minute bittering because I don't have a chiller. I figure that with the amount of time it takes me to chill my wort with an ice bath I should get plenty of flavor and aroma out of my whirlpool hops.
Thoughts?
