My Sanke Tap for your 22oz bottles? Los Angeles, CA

Saw your ad on CL again. If you still have it next Saturday, hit me up. I know last time I said I had a bunch of 750s from the Bruery, but I checked my storage and I do have 2 cases of bombers I can trade if you are interested.

Photos of abandoned Dixie Brewery - New Orleans, LA

Here is another abandoned brewery. I ran across this pic set bout a month ago. Never even heard of this beer, probably cuz it shut down a few years before I was even born. http://community.livejournal.com/abandonedplaces/2207106.html#cutid1

Thanks for the link, I love abandoned buildings and pics. I'd rather the pics were in B&W though or at night with long exposure. The HDR is cool but a bit much, makes the pics look like a video game or something.

    Met Greg Koch last night...

That's cool! Got to chat with Greg a bit at Stone 14th and took a picture with him for charity! Also going to see him tonight at Naja's Place in Redondo beach for Stone's total tap takeover and to kick off LAbeerweek!

    Welder for Brew Stand

Get some anti spatter spray and spray the metal before you weld. It works really well in keeping the surrounding metal clean. Only draw back is you'll have to clean thoroughly before you paint.

Where have all the brewpots gone?

I wouldn't doubt if there is a run on them for the holidays, at least in my area. It's almost tamale season! How bout making a keggle? Thats what I'm doing.

Can't decide which keg kit to buy! (long)

Or Craigslist! I'm slowly aquiring parts to build a kegerator. Just picked up a 10lb bottle for $35. Today on CL in my area, there is a full fridge kegerator conversion for sale for $75. Comes with the fridge, door tap, two handles, regulator, bottle, hoses and even a keg!

    Half price BYO magazine subscription

This sounds too good not to get in on! Anyone else wanna split? :)

    Acronyms galore wtf?

I'd like to know too. And not the silly, non-brew related ones. Just those pertaining to beer and brewing. I think that's what makes the sticky thread so confusing. Thankfully, I've been reading enough that I've been able to figure some of them out but there are still a few that confuse me...

    storing corked beer, evaporation

I would keep them standing up in the coolest, darkest place you can find besides a fridge. The BA article explains things nicely. I wouldn't want any funky cork flavors in my beer. How hot have your beers gotten? A month ago I came across a bottle of 1994 Sam Adams triple bock that was...

Just had a month old Chimay Blue...

Yuck! Sounds like it acted just like a box of baking soda and absorbed all the other smells and flavors you might have in your fridge. Even if it was closed, I don't think I would have tried it!
