Brewed this up last Friday night. I've been looking at this recipe for years, I like how simple the recipe is.
OG 1.084 - Added some sugar.
On Sunday at some point my wife turned on the dehumidifier downstairs and my temps went from 68 to about 74+ on Monday... I hope this does not affect the...
Truman is unique. We obtained him when we bought out house a year ago tomorrow. Great, sweet, vocal cat. Loves to me near you with a paw touching you. Loves to poop by the door. .........
Charlie, 16 year old chihuahua. My wife got her when she was a baby, so when we got married a few years ago, I had to adopt her. The quietest, chillest, sweetest chihuahua you'd ever meet. And she does tricks of spin, roll over, and high fives!
Brewed this up on (thinking.....) the 30th??
Well, I know it's been about a week and a half and I brought it up from the basement where it was fermenting at 58* for all that time. I took the gravity and it's sitting nicely at 1.020, from a higher gravity then expected 1.068. It'll be...
"Borrowed" a box of the Pumpkin Spice coffee packets from work(I stash them in my file cabinet) last fall and am enjoying one slowly along with water allll day until tonight.
I just bottled a saison last night and poured about a half bottle (2 oz) of peach flavoring for the last ~2 gallons I had. Initial taste was really good and complimented the beer very well I thought. I have 3 gallons of "plain" saison, and about 2 of peach saison. Can't wait for it to carbonate!
Try out the easy 15 minute cascade pale ale in the recipe forum. I've brewed it up a few times, sometimes with different hops, and it turns out awesome. The bonus is it's a 15 minute boil!

How big is big ol'? :p
I have a 15% Imperial Stout that I got to using additional sugar additions and super high gravity yeast after the initial primary fermentation started. I say strive for at least 12-14%, the higher the better :D
Thanks, I probably should have taken a real temp when it was fermenting really warm!
I was contemplating using a peach flavoring when I was digging through some bags of flavoring/ additives etc, and found an unused bottle of peach flavoring. I am thinking do 3 gallons of plain saison, and 2...
So I think I'll leave this for another week since it's dropped to 1.006.
Still have the question about the temperature. Since it was fermenting in the 80's (not sure of the exact temp) do I input that or one of these other ones?
I have not used it before and don't remember reading about it...
