    Stout Advice

I've been brewing with canned extract kit's with good results and was wondering if anyone might know what i could use to give my John bull Stout batch a creamier taste....

My first try...Will it be any good?

I've used them with 5 gal batches and the were very good....I'm thinking at 2 or 3 gals of water and it may be a little to strong...most call for 6 gals.

    Recomend a canned extract.....

I've used John Bull for stouts and lagers and coopers and muntons for lights and draughts and they came out great...I Used dark dry malt extracts for the stouts and light malts for the draughts and lights instead of sugar...Sometimes I split the diff and use 1lb corn sugar and 1 LB dry malt...

    Cooper's kit

Not really sure what steps you skipped. With a canned extract I boil about 2 quarts of water turn it down to a simmer add light or dark or whatever malt extract & canned extract.... simmer for awhile then add to 3 gal water in fermenter...top off...wait till it cools to 70 and pitch the yeast...

    Cream Ale Questions? Help Please

My 2 cents .....my SWMBO drinks light beer crap also Mic ultra is her fav (yuk...It's carbonated water with a hint of beer) but any way I just got the canned Muntons American light. It called for 2.2 pounds of corn sugar...used 1.1 of light malt and 1.1 of corn sugar and she likes it! :tank...
