    I'm going to grow Hops

Rob's always helpful, but no I didn't ask him for help. I did all my research on-line. Don't get to anxious with this weather. I have my Golding planted in a container and move it from the garage to the kitchen to the garden depending on the weather. When it's warm, I’ll put it in the ground...

    I'm going to grow Hops

Hey Explude - I'm in north Reno and had pretty good luck last year. Planted a Magnum, Mt. Hood and Cascade. The Cascade never came out of the ground, but Mt. and Mag were great. This year I'm planting a Golding I got from Rob @ RHB in place of the Cascade. My Mt. and Mag are out of the ground...

Thanks, Walker - I hadn't considered the space issue but that is a great point. Do you think the beer is any better or the same as gas beer?

How much DME do I need to carbonate a 5 gal keg?

Gentlemen - I've kegged about six batches and have only force carbed. My question is this: is there any benefit to carbing naturally and then dispense with the gas…I know it will save on gas, but will the beer be any better? I know natural carbonation will leave sediment on the bottom of...

    How to Grow Hops

I would contact Freshops - These really know there stuff. Also, if you're looking only to propagate hops, just order from them and you'll only get the female plant - no need for the male. www.freshops.com :mug:

    Hop Growing Question

Thanks, NMG - That is really cool. I had no idea, but I'll check out the operation in WV. I ordered a magnum, Mt. Hood and cascade. Currently they're in 1 gallon pots and I'm ready to put them into my garden. Right now, my three plants are doing well.

    How to Grow Hops

Hey Jake the Hop Dog...you should pick the brains of your local home brew store or contact these folks: www.freshops.com . I ordered three rhizomes (cascade, magnum, mt. hood) from them and they were helpful. I'm in northern Nevada so my climate is vastly different than yours. That said, the...
