Last night during bottling I had my caps sitting in a small plastic bowl with sanitizer and my wife mentioned a weird smell described it as rotten eggs. Mind you this was 3/4 of the way through the bottling. The beer smelled fine and looked fine but does star San interact weird with some plastics?

So drawing up a belgian blond with 11# pils, 0.5# aromatic and 2# candi sugar clear. East kent goldings 1oz at 60 min and 1 oz at 10 min. Yeast is lellamand abbye ale 2 packets.
Mash at 150 with a mash out at 167. 60 min boil.
System is the Grainfather G30 110v
If you had to choose between starting to can beers or having a glycol chiller for temp control which would you pick and why? I am looking at getting either the brewbuilt glycol chiller or the cannular top can seamer. Any advice would be great.
