    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Weeeellll, if my calculations are correct *S.G 1.074 and F.G. 1.010*, my Graffe came in at a hefty 8.4%! ...and boy does she taste good. Just bottled her tonight. Not too tart. :wiggles:

    Lowenbrau fans?

Where are all of the Lowenbrau fans up in this forum?!!?! I've done searches for Lowenbrau, but no results. I did a search on google for clone recipes. What I found was this: "Munich Hellas Pale (Lowenbrau Clone) 7lbs. Light Bock Malt 1/2 lb. Carapils 1/4 lb. Wheat Grain...

I used Northwestern Light Syrup and Northwestern Extra Light Dry. I did you .5 lbs of 60 Crystal, sorry. I love the way 60 steeps, let me tell you. She is fermenting right along at 74 degrees. One question: I'm getting a pungent smell out of the airlock. Is this normal?

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Dear God, I came out with an OG of 1.074! I used .4 oz Fuggle. 1 lb amber. 1 lb extra light. 4 gal Mott's. This afternoon, I found a 22ozer *that's all I bottle in* of my Imperial Stout that I brewed for Christmas last year. Thing sports a 8.92% ABV. WOOOOOWEEEEE!! ROSCOEEEEE P. COLTRANE!!!

I'm making this tonight. I'm wondering, would Otter Maris be a good substitute for torrified wheat?

Oatmeal Stout, Windsor yeast, no bubbles

After I posted, I went back to it. Took a picture *came out bad*. I tasted it - tasted normal. The gunk on top was just floating. Seemed like dead yeast. Bottled it. Gonna wait and test it out in 3 weeks. Let's hope :drunk:

Oatmeal Stout, Windsor yeast, no bubbles

I'm soooo pissed off right at this hour. I went to bottle the Oatmeal Stout and there are little white things on top. It doesn't cover the whole part of the surface, but I've never seen something like this before...and this is my 14th batch. I can't take a picture of it. I think I mucked this...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Hey all - I am getting conflicting advice on the campden tabs. Do I add them 48, 24, or 8 hrs before?

    What are you drinking now?

Don't you hate that - relaxing with a sweet beer from your own kitchen...find out that you've depleted your bank for some reason or another...grrr... makes me wanna brew 20gal at a time. Shoot.

The hell you aren't. You're a brewer....and that, my friend, makes you a scientist. Why do you think we have these boards? :mug:
