    Hi Pumkinman 2012, thanks for the insight. Yes this is a 6 gallon barrel and it is new. From what you have told me I should be okay leaving the wine in the barrel for the full 3 months as I planned before bottling it. That will put it right into the first week of Sept when the weather starts...
