i honestly cant stand guinness anymore. yes, i will give it credit for being a good beer, but i have drank it so much that its become..."old" to me :(

have you ever brewed anything that was, unbiasedly, better than newcastle? not to insult your brewing skills. just a question out of curiosity, you know... :o btw, im not trying to make newcastle the "standard" of all beers...just asking.

sorry that poll doesnt work for me. i prefer newcastle over guinness, so in dont know what that makes me... everything else is pretty true though for the people that i have met. :o

will liquid malt extract work too? sorry if im asking too many questions...im just trying to learn a little bit about this sorta thing before i start concocting my own

man, what happened to this beer? i remember back in 2000-2001, when the label was different (not like this plain blue one currently), this beer was great: you could really taste the spices and everything. but now its really gone down the tubes, it just tastes so...flat. the spices and flavor...

the airlock works fine. yes it came with the kit. how long ago did you buy yours? because it might be an older model or something... i might have to experiment around with that once i get more experience. sounds like a plan... btw, how has the mr. beer kit working for you so far? reliable?
