American Wheat Beer Honey Balz Spring Wheat

Just brewed this beer and I'm excited to try it! I'm alittle worried as my OG was 1.042 instead of 1.052. I hope that it doesn't effect the awesomeness of this beer though.

    Issue with leaky mash tun

Not really sure. I just watched the video and did what it said, since this is my first time with all grain. Will it make a difference? Beside it just being a pain in the ass right now.

    Issue with leaky mash tun

This actually looks like it may work. I'll give that a shot when I get home. Thanks!

    Issue with leaky mash tun

Yes I put it back on the inside of the cooler, but since the T pipe is not flush with the wall it causes the bottom of that washer to be loose. Side Note: The additional washer that I was using is bigger than the pipe. It's like 3/4" and not 1/2". So I'm thinking if I get the right size that...

    Issue with leaky mash tun

Sooo, I decided to start brewing with all grains. I converted an old cooler that I had into a mash tun and I'm having some issues with it leaking. is the tutorial I used on making the mash tun, but the problem with this is that my cooler has these 2 grooves on the side that are angled up from...

    Bottling in cold conditions

I have a quick question, is there any easy way to keep my bottle aging cabinet at around 65-70 degrees? I thought I saw something on here where someone setup a small tub with water and put a water heater in it. I need some kind of cheap solution like that. Because right now my cabinet that I...

    Fermentation is slooow.

Thanks for all the help everyone! This is only my 3rd brew so I'm still new at all this. I'll just leave it in secondary for awhile and see how it turns out later.

    Fermentation is slooow.

It was in primary for 7 days. The instructions called for transfer to secondary as soon as fermentation started to slow down. Here is the recipe. My OG was 1.043 OG: 1.041 - 1.044 FG: 1.010 - 1.014 1 Can Dark Malt Extract 2 lbs of dark dry malt 6oz Malto Dextrin 18ox crushed grains 1oz...

    Fermentation is slooow.

So I currently have an Irish Stout (a kit from my local homebrew shop) in secondary right now and when I put it in there it has a gravity of 1.022. Well I checked it again today (12 days later) and the gravity is at 1.021. So it's dropped only 1 point in 12 days. Is my fermentation stuck? I'm...

First Time Brewer, my story and a question!

Hello everyone! Well I'm super excited, my girlfriend bought me a beer brewing kit for my birthday! Well this Saturday I went with some friends to a local brewing store (The Weekend Brewer for anyone in the Central Virginia area) and got a beer kit. It's an English Nut Brown Ale. Here are the...
