Another Newbie Brewer

Hello Homebrewers!

I just found this form via a Google search.

I received a couple books and a view on homebrewing for Christmas.

Coincidentally, a new homebrew store opened up nearby, so I bought a starter kit as an after-Christmas present to myself

I can't call myself a brewer yet since I haven't brewed my first batch yet, but am looking forward to it.

Looking forward to sharing/learning from this forum.

I'm with you, as I got my starter kit for Christmas, and bought some ingredients for a pale ale the next day. (Unfortunately, the closest homebrew shop is an hour away.) I'm still waiting for a Jan. 6th delivery of my 7.5 gallon stainless brew kettle (anxiously.) In the meantime I whipped up an immersion chiller based on advice from this forum. That was fun, I like building stuff, and I had never soldered before...it was cool.
