Leftover Mr. Beer? Play it by ear.

The wife and I had 3 cans of Mr. Beer cider left over from our first ventures into homebrewing, so we decided to go ahead and knock them out. I decided to more or less improvise, since I won't ever brew Mr. Beer cider again. 3 cans Mr. Beer cider 4 1/2 cups brown sugar Made a dry yeast starter...

3 Q's - One step sanitizer, rubber stopper, and recipe

I wish I had video of you pacing about with this pie in your hands, unsure of whether to PITCH A ****ING PIE. And you did it. You sir, have a bright future in brewing. Run the rest of your batch as normal, and please post your results. I think you'll be fine. Also, I want to see pics of...

    This sucks 1st time bottling

Wat. This is insane. Soap them for a couple minutes, peel the label, then scrub the glue off with steel scrubber. Takes no time, I do it as I drink now. Sam Adams' glue is tough compared to Leinenkugel's, Red Horse, and Newcastle. Still easy. Guinness draft bottles are awesome. The label...

    Warm climate yeast solutions

Howdy. I live in northern Japan, which is cool 9 months out of the year. The summer doesn't get terribly hot, usually peaking around 90°, but I'm on a military base with no air conditioning. My house is currently 83°, and the two brews I've done so far (cider, irish stout) have come out much...

    Howdy from Japan

I've got buddies at Yakota, they do great work there. Training for my job happens at Fort Meade, MD, so I'm familiar with your neck of the woods as well. I've been reading through this forum for weeks, looking forward to hanging out here. The only equipment I need now is buckets, then it's...

    Howdy from Japan

Hey guys, new brewer here in northern Japan, originally Dallas, TX. I'm US military, and yes, things were effing crazy here 3 months ago. The community here came through with minimal damage from the earthquake, and local geography saved us from the tsunami, despite being right on the coast...
