Hey folks,
Heading to Sacramento for a conference in May. I am toying with the idea of hanging around an extra day or two to do some hiking.
Any recommendations for nice day hikes with an hour or two drive from the city?

Good timing for me to stumble across this thread. Was bottling a batch last night, went to transfer into the bottling bucket, and my auto-siphon wouldn't work! It just pushed bubbles of air into the beer when I tried to rack it. I discovered that the little flapper at the bottom which closes...
I experienced the exact same aroma from my dried first year Cascades: they smelled strongly of tea. I was going to use them in a robust Porter but decided against it since it is a competition entry.
I dried mine on a window screen in my basement with a small fan blowing on them at its lowest...

Just bottled a rye APA using Briess's rye malt extract and a healthy helping of Nelson Sauvin. Turned out great.
