    dry hop ball question

    I bought a mesh tea ball to dry hop a Sierra nevada clone in the keg. My question is whether or not its ok that it is chrome plated brass? I hadnt thought of it until now and I am about to transfer the beer into the keg.

    Fifty bucks says he put it in the fridge and then proceeded to drink it as cold as the pee water he usually drinks... I have taken a porter and had someone taste it lager cold, they hated it. Warm it up to the appropriate temp and they said "hey this is pretty good".

    How long can I expect a batch to last.

    I'm still considered a "noob" but i think if i were going to bottle something I was planning on keeping around for a while I would spend the extra money on the caps that absorb oxygen. And i would even consider waxing them.

    Nice! If you can find it, which i am sure you can seeing as its over here in MA, grab a sixer of ruthless rye ipa from Sierra nevada. It's a damn fine beer.

    Sources for 1/2 barrel kegs

    Personally I would get a keg of budweiser, throw a party, charge for a keg cup, and make back all my money, and not give Budweiser their keg back. But thats just me. Those guys do much worse to plenty of other people. But don't get in trouble and say I made you do it.

    Forget Oxi-Clean

    I put 36 Sierra Nevada bottles into my "soaking bin" last night with oxiclean... All labels are now floating and the glue wipes right off with a towel :drunk:
