Pic if this years hop harvest.

Yeah, the vines on the 3 year old plant were as thick as my thumb, and grew easily a foot a day from the middle of May till the middle of June. After that I stopped measuring. It was also a very resinous batch. Just handling them to package left thick coatings of tar on my fingers. Can't wait...

Here they are dried. I vacuum sealed them up and got 2.5 lbs. I was hoping for twice that, but I guess they had a higher water content then I remembered from last year.

    Hop Salsa

I think carrotmalt has the right idea. Get the tomato juice boiling first and drop your hops in via a hop sock. I would do 5 min just to get the aroma, as if you were adding it to the last 5 min of your boiling wort. Then you will have a much more controllable additive to the salsa.

    Rekegging under pressure bottles?

have some poorly carbed bottles. Imperial stout. Thinking of opening all the bottles and pouring into a keg for carbing. They have been aging for about a year, so I don't think the yeast would be active enough to do anything with any added sugar to the bottles. Anyone had luck transfering...

yeah, it was the tank valve that I was turning. The gauge on the lo side was pegging, but with a completely open line. not even connected to the keg. the cleaning/blowing procedure seems to have it in line, but i may need to get a new lo gauge.

well. not sure if it is going to hold, but i just unscrewed everything for the third time. blew through each hole in an isolated fashion. reconnected and it seems to be fine. I think it might be the lo side gauge having issues, but seems ok now.

also the high side registers nothing while the lo side is up at 60.

It is definitely coming out of the hole. I can turn it way down (very slight opening) and it stops, be even a millimeter open, and it gushes out the hole.
