it was a 4KG mash so I did the standard (or what I was told) 2.5l per KG starting with and sparged to the boil volume of 20l as suggested in the recipe

I did my first brew on my own today and followed a 25l recipe for a batch size of 20l.
I followed everything to the T, strike water amount, sparge water amount, everything. But when I got to the fermenter it only filled to 15l and not 20l batch size I expected.
I am a little worried...
