Too late to have something ready for Christmas?

Hi all, I'd like to have another batch of beer ready for Christmas. My FG on my Hefe was at spec (1.011) in almost 6 days, so i am sure it can be done with the right conditions. However, I don't want the same style beer. Is a fast fermenting Hefe the only style beer that will ferment...

    Hefeweissbier - Banana hints

Hi all, I had a Hef a while back with hints of banana....very subtle, but still there. I'd like to try and create that taste. Tess at Moltose in Monroe, CT hooked me up with a Hefe recipe to start with (my first all grain)....(first home brew at all). I have a all the equipment, and more...

    Maintaining Fermentation temps

Hi all, I'm going to be brewing my first all grain batch this weekend...if I get everything in order. After my boil, and once I have cooled the batch with an immersion chiller, how do you keep the fermentor at the desired temps? Especially curious since this will be done in my basement...
