    Too much extract in tripel?

    Ok, update, transferred to secondary yesterday and it was sweet and almost fruity. Now I'm thinking about putting in sugar to dry it out for the next few weeks before we keg. Will The late edition still have time to eat up all the new sugars? I appreciate all your help guys.

    We used 3 packs of white labs wlp530, cause we didn't have time for starter. Forgot to say it's been 3 weeks in primary, and we're gonna do 3 more weeks in secondary, so probably too late for the brett. Think we'll just wait and see what we get. Thanks for the help guys.

    Not sure, I'm not home at the moment, I'd have to look at the recipe we used. That's what I was thinking though.

    Hey all, first post... By mistake we added an extra lb of extract to our tripel in place of the lb of sugar the recipe called for. What do you think the results will be? I'm thinking maybe a sweeter beer because the sugars won't be as fermentable. Will it be any good? Would love to hear your...
