Yes I don't really know your finances but Walmart has aluminum pots - 4 gallon for 14.99. I've made three brews with mine and it works awesome. Might be worth a shot until you can afford a big pot with a thermometer and valve on it

I just brewed that same exact Ale this past Wednesday using the same exact groupon from Midwest supplies. What was your starting/original gravity before pitching? Also, mine seem to only ferment for 12-18 hours, how long did yours go for? Sorry for playing 20 questions, it's my first brew too...

holy crap.. how did I not know this was there!! I live literally across from this place. Limestone is gone. They are moving to Aurora. I'll definitely have to stop at this place since I plan on brewing my first batch soon.
