    I am new to brewing have started some watermelon wine. I have water melon sugar a few rasin and yeast. I did not put and campden, or acid blend or pectic enzyme. I was going to put pectic sorbate and super kleen when I rack it the 1st time. its been go about 3 days can I put that stuff in now...

    thanks fot the help, you said that for that amount of honey ( 1lb ) and the yeast (LaLvin EC-1118 ) that my mead would be dry, I don't want dry, I want it to be a little on the sweat side. can I add more honey ( how much ) or do I need to use different yeast? Thanks shooter44

    Hi all, am new to the forum and mead making. I want to make my 1st. carboy of mead, what I have is 1gal honey,3gal water,1lb cherrys (tart) and Lalvin EC-1118 wine yeast, 1cup orange juice, and some raisens. I don't know how much yeast to use, and if that is enough honey. what do you think...
