    Hip hop and such

To be honest, after my first contact with macklemore I disregarded it as pretentious hipster shiet, but after hearing thrift shop on the radio a couple of times I'm willing to revise my opinion. NWS? A quick google gave me National Weather Service. Lil B tearing up David Banner

    Hip hop and such

Seeing as the punk and metal threads have lived on for quite some time I'll give this a shot. I recently came across a thread on reddit about rappers that people thought were "wack" but then came to like, Danny Brown was the top reply so I checked it out. And it was good. :mug: So I'll start...

    Punk Rock and Hardcore

So, Ism is in my top ten (american) hardcore(?) bands. It took me a while to come across them since they don't get mentioned as often as the big bands (black flag, minor threat, bad brains and so on). Also if anyone has any anecdotes about A7 they'd be much appreciated.

    Pellicle in Belgian IPA

Yes it would keep certain infections at bay, commercial lacto cultures i believe, but not all.

    Punk Rock and Hardcore

Also, what would you guys classify this as? I'd guess crust, altough over here in sweden we have crust and käng(boot)punk". Käng being more mayhem and upbeat, while crust is more like Amebix. Edit: Japanese hardcore (d-beat) is also a good example of "käng", for example: (Framtid is...

    Punk Rock and Hardcore

Crossover(like grindcore ;)) is a ***** to categorize, I always placed Carnivore on the metal side of it though. S.M.D!

    Calling All Metal Fans

I guess they still do, their new album sounds more mainstream/accessible though. The song i posted even has gotten some airtime on national radio. And regarding if grindcore is metal or punk, I generally lean towards classifying (modern) grindcore as metal. Altough it depends from record to...

    Roselare yeast blend question

Just cracked open my first bottle brewed with the roselare, brewed in august 2011 and bottled a week ago. The taste is towards the tart cherry region rather than the dirty horse. When I drew a sample during spring 2012 it smelled good but the flavor was really lacking. 2 months ago the situation...

    Calling All Metal Fans

Managed to see Nasum (probably my favorite band ever) twice now on their last tour. First time i heard them was sometime around 2000-2001 but back then they were too hard for me. A couple years later I'd started to appreciate it and they were booked for a gig in my town during early spring 2005...

What I did for beer today

I bought three fermentation buckets, 6 lbs pale crystal malt, 2 lbs crystal malt today. The cashier had a brainfart and gave me ~29$ in change instead of ~14$, I pointed out the error instead of taking the ~25% discount.

Looking for inspiration for a 13 gal carboy

I got a call from my mother who was helping a friend clear out their garage or something. Anyway she wondered if I was interested in a (free) 13 gal carboy, of course I was, now i'm just wondering to do with it. Initially my thought was to brew two ~6 gal batches of a simple plain lambic...

    Thoughts on IPA recipe?

Flavor adjustment, adds some sulfate which accentuates the bitterness.
