Wire/Cord Management for Keezer (Possibly losing cold air...)

stumbled across this thread as I'm also been trying to figure out the cleanest way to run two 14/3 power cords out the back of my collar. I've been trying to find strain relief cable glands that can go through a 3/4 inch thick bulkhead, but such a thing appears not to exist. So I may get a...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

    Ah-ha. I should have googled "low-pass filter"

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

I finally got my iSpindel up and running and linked to brewpiless. Really appreciate the thought that went into making these cool devices work together. I am curious, however, what exactly the difference is between "filtered SG" and "gravity" in the brewpiless graph. The former seems to...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

So, just to close the loop on this in case it is helpful for anyone, I finally got the new Wemos from China, flashed it first -- WITHOUT removing the diode or attaching it to anything -- and it took the firmware no problem. Then I hooked it up to the rest of my existing build and everything...

I should also mention that, based on the safety concerns I read in this forum, I didn't hook up the toggle switch for the AC bulkhead. I figure I'll just yank the power cord when I want to turn it off.

6x6x3. It's tight but works fine if you turn the power supply on its side. I did have to use tin snips to cut off most of the metal extending from the long ends of the outlet.

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Thought I'd post pics of my brewpiless, which I built using jangevaa's PCB. I made a 3D printed case at my local library, which I designed with TinkerCAD and cheap digital calipers from Amazon. I wanted the connections at a right angle from the LCD because my unit will sit on a shelf at a...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Thanks, yes, I was careful to correctly orient the BAT43 after seeing others having problems because of that. It's visible in the top pic I posted above, with the end with the black band connected to the pin that goes to D0.

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

I think the battery may be necessary once you remove the diode from the Wemos. At any rate, my Wemos does not work at all when plugged into my PC without the battery connected. And when I tried plugging it in while connected to the USB-powered charger, but no battery attached, it kind of went...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

I didn't buy a bluetooth wemos on purpose, but I definitely could have done so by accident. How can you tell it's bluetooth?

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Looking for any troubleshooting ideas on my mostly-built iSpindel, which I cannot get to accept the firmware via NodeMCU flasher. My build followed the perfboard approach (as shown here: https://www.hobbybrouwen.nl/forum/index.php?topic=33743.0). Pics below. I used the BAT43 diode in place of...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

I used a 3x7 perfboard from Ali Express (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32813767534.html?) and just cut it in half. If you score it well with a razor, it will easily snap in half. As someone with limited soldering experience, this was a difficult project with a perfboard. I have no doubt...

Upright Keezer with rigid-mounted picnic taps

Love this build, especially the bottle storage on top. Have been thinking about something similar. I've been finding a lot of the upright freezers on Craigslist have non-removable shelves though. What is the make and cu. ft. of this guy?

WLP008 - East Coast Ale Yeast - what do you know about it?

I've been using this strain in my last few brews. It definitely has a bit of a tart flavor. I'll probably go back to WLP001 for my pale and amber ales, but I will say it that this strain made a fantastic cream ale. Although it supposedly has lower attenuation, I was able to get it down to...

Farenheit to Celcius Chart for your STC 1000

Here's one I put together, inspired by the one juvinious posted above. It's designed to be stuck on the top of an 8x6x3 Radio Shack project box if the controller is installed on one of the long (8x3) sides. All I've ever brewed is ales, so caveat emptor on the temp ranges for the other styles.
