am I the only one that thinks "aged on" means they use chips just like we were saying?

I havn't bought anything yet but I am looking forward to getting whatever shakes out to be a decent app. I use the web page to calculate my mash temps right now and if I could get that with a brew log and perhaps a hop alarm/timer for the brew/mash that would be Hawt.

I find that very hard to believe or we'd have alot of "tea bagging" brewers out there taking their hops out of the kettle as soon as they had done "their thing". While it may be true that once the alpha acids are out of the hops and into the wort you could take out the hops, it seems unlikely...

+1 on Larry's Welcome! Lots and lots of us from the greater Seattle area as evidenced by the turnout at Naked City taphouse last night :tank: hope you have a great first beer!

If anyone around the Seattle area knows of a LHBS that carries this please let me know. Otherwise... i'll be putting an order in to Northern brewer as I really gotta try this.

I had a couple of fine fine brews with SWMBO :tank: was glad to say hi to Don, Donald, and their respective SOs huzzah for good beer and a good opening, lets hope not all the nights are quite as packed but business is just as good.:rockin:

hmmm yeah I don't shop there anymore, mostly I go to Larry's in Kent but i'll make the trip for some actual Fermcap.

if it is a matter of just not having the bottles... I have um, lets just say many, 22ounce rogue bottles you can have next time I head that way. But if you have a neighborhood like mine you could just collect as many as you wanted from the glass recycling. I have not bottled in forever but keep...

anyone in the greater Seattle area know of a good place to get some of this locally? I'm curious now and want to try it but i'm loath to order online if I can avoid the shipping costs. Of course with the price of gas these days i'm likely to find its actually cheaper...:mad:
