They sent me an email telling me to go back to the distributor. I now have 4 old controllers. I liked the guys idea of hooking up a fan so I am going that route. Brewing Friday and I hope it fixes it.

That is exactly what mine looks like and they have replaced the controller. I have now burnt two controllers and that pin with the crust on it broke off when I tried to disconnect them. I am rather disheartened with it now.

Barely over 2 years old. (2 yr warranty). They sent me a new controller but it happened again. very frustrating. I am going to have to replace the plug and hope for the best

Does anybody know why I have literally melted the heat plug into the controller? The only thing I do different is use a 10 ft. 12 gauge extension cord. I had to pry the plug out and broke the plug and it had melted part of the inside of the controller. This thing brews great but I am baffled.
