Thanks! Great tip, I was concerned about bitter orange peel, as it wouldn't give me that fresh orange flavor I was going for. I think I may try blood orange zest, since it's in season.

Thanks for the tip. I was toying with the idea of adding it to the secondary. Seems to be the best way to go, since a lot of the citrus qualities may dissipate after a vigorous primary.

I would say the two most likely problems are the mill you are using, or thorough incorporation of your grain in the strike water. Do you do a mashout? Have you attempted fly-sparging?
I am playing with an IPA recipe that is attempting to be Extremely citrus forward. I was playing with the idea of adding bitter orange and grapefruit peel at flameout to accentuate the citrus hop qualities. Any advice on hop additions and or the use of citrus peel?
