Irish Stout Ode To Arthur, Irish Stout (Guinness Clone)

Another winner BM. I just poured the first pint from a batch I brewed about a month ago. Tastes great for breakfast. This recipe now has a place alongside your Octoberfast in my annual brew schedule. Thanks again

    Hop-15 Ale

A very good beer. True to style while still being able to consume several in a sitting.

    Any Concern with food coloring??

I've used in sparingly in a raspberry wheat. No ill effects, but a little goes a long way.

    Substitute for Acid Malt

I typically use 5.2 Buffer in all my beers. I was going with BierMunchers recipe, which calls for .25 lbs in a 10 gallon batch. This beer is being given away to a guy that supplied me with about 2 bushels of hops last fall. I typically force carb, but this will be bottle conditioned. I...

    kegerator/faucet help please!

Dissasemble and clean up your existing faucet to stop that leak. If it has seen use previously, chances are it's full of crap anyway, and you don't want that to end up in your pint.

Deep Dark Wheat - a little too deep (AKA high gravity)?

I tend to lean towards bigger beers, so to me it looks fine @ 1060 - 1070 OG. If you really want to make it a smaller beer, but can't adjust your grain bill, you could always add a little top off water ala extract brewers till you hit the marks your after.

Zest of lemon. when to add??

Taste diffence would be minimal in my opinion. I like to add @ flameout so as to insure there are no nasties on the zest that could infect the brew.

    Willamette/Cascade PM Amber HELP!

Willamette and Cascade work great together. I would pitch US-56 (s-05) or any "california ale" yeast.

    smoke porter clone help

Agreed!.... jppostKW..... I would ditch the black patent, go with .5 lbs of Chocolate and a 1 lb of light chocolate. I would start with .75 lbs of crystal 120. Again, I am only going off of my own experiences, not specifically with the Left Hand. Your gravities will only change a...
