Thinkjng of downsizing from 3v to BIAB, any downsides?

Currently i have an electric HERMS 3v setup. I've brewed maybe 3 batches in the 6 or so years I've owned it. (10 gallon batches) I really don't drink that much, and don't like spending all day on it. What would be the downsides to selling it and moving to a 5 gallon BIAB setup?

Got my water report, now im confused what to do

I thought about grocery store RO, but I generally start with 20 gallons strike water

Do you use that? It sounds good, but i can't find many reviews about it online. One reddit thread had a couple people happy with it, and a couple posting the same comment over and over talking ****.

Yeah that sulfate number is a big question for me. I've done a little research and a water softener won't reduce it. I see mixed answers on safe limits for drinking.

Water report from Ward Labs. I don't have any softener or filter, this is raw water right from the well. Somenof the numbers look ok, and some look high. Some, like sulphate, I dont know if it's acceptable or not.

How close should the magnet/s be?

Yes it does. It will be used in the garage with the rest of the brewery, so she won't care.

How close should the magnet/s be?

I made a couple small mods and got to where I thought it should be.

How close should the magnet/s be?

Well then, that changes things. I didn't know how much of a vortex I should have. I can get down about halfway, which sounds like more than enough.

How close should the magnet/s be?

I tried to put stronger magnets on top of the existing magnets, but it made the motor run slow. Eddy currents perhaps? Or magnets too close to the metal case? Idk. Ive got some much smaller magnets to try, and if that doesn't work, I have longer screws that I could use to either raise the...

How close should the magnet/s be?

That's what I thought. It seems like there is hardly any magnetism on top of the plate, and when you turn it to full speed it doesn't go any faster, in fact it almost seems like it slows. I have some good strong magnets at work to bring home and use.

How close should the magnet/s be?

Not really a DIY build, but I just picked up a used stirplate and flask, and had to try it out. At high speeds, the stirrer tends to bounce around and get thrown off. The magnets don't seem to be very close to the plate the flask sets on, so how how close should they be?

    Don't Do That.

I bought my brewery as a kit that someone had started to put together. I never double checked the previous owners work, but before I used it for the first time, I did a wet run test with plain water. Good thing too, because all of his hoses leaked, but I still had hot water everywhere.

    Motor for Grain Mill

Sorry to get back so late, but here are more pics. Maybe I'll make this its own thread? This is a newer 240v single phase input, 240 three phase output. It's in a cabinet that runs a mill and a lathe, but not at the same time. Theres a pic of the motor tag on my gear motor. Then it just...

    Motor for Grain Mill

This is the label on the VFD. It is an older unit that may not be available anymore. I'll get a pic of the other VFD this evening after work, as well as a pic of the gearmotor.

    Motor for Grain Mill

I had a garage door opener motor on my mill. It was 800-some rpm, geared down to 200 maybe with the belt and pulleys from the opener. The speed was fine, but there was no cooling ability and it would overheat and shut off halfway through milling. I ended up replacing that with a 3 phase gear...
