Hi all: A quick question on hops. I recently purchased a summer ale kit from a somewhat local home brew supply shop. The kit contains Galena and Liberty hops. I don't know anything about either. Any insights to these two varieties. Thanks - Scott :confused:

:cool: I have an older primary fermenting bucket that hasn't been used in a while. It sounds like if a clean that out well I should be able to use that as a secondary and proceed with your suggestions. Thanks NUCC98. I'll keep you posted on the results. - ScottLo

This recipe sounds really good. Given that I don't have a secondary fermenter (mostly a space issue), and that I don't have vanilla beans, when would I add vanilla bean paste to this recipe. Thanks ScottLo

Recently having returned to brewing (2 batches of beer todat)I have used pellets, and leaf(is that the same as whole? :o ) I had bad luck with the first batch, nothing to do with the hops, mostly my mistakes. I don't completly understand the differences. So I don't have a preference as yet...
