    Yeast preference poll

I just responded to the poll. At present I've made three batches beer this year. All have had liquid yeast and they all have fermented quickly and well. The way I remember them was one Wyeast and one White Labs (third I don't recall). Both worked well, so I don't have a preference between...

    Hops Question

Hi all: A quick question on hops. I recently purchased a summer ale kit from a somewhat local home brew supply shop. The kit contains Galena and Liberty hops. I don't know anything about either. Any insights to these two varieties. Thanks - Scott

This recipe sounds really good. Given that I don't have a secondary fermenter (mostly a space issue), and that I don't have vanilla beans, when would I add vanilla bean paste to this recipe. Thanks ScottLo

    Extract: dry vs liquid

I have only recently gotten back into brewing. Prior to children I used mostly dry extract. Now that the kids are older and I'm brewing again, I have used only liquid extracts. Two batches with liquid, and I have had a 50-50 success, though I don't blame the ingredients, just my lack of...

    Hop preference poll

Recently having returned to brewing (2 batches of beer todat)I have used pellets, and leaf(is that the same as whole? :o ) I had bad luck with the first batch, nothing to do with the hops, mostly my mistakes. I don't completly understand the differences. So I don't have a preference as yet...
