Isn't Killians a red lager?... unless they got an ale version that I'm not aware of. I just bottled my first batch ever that happens to be a red lager cause I also enjoy Killians.
I'm making my first batch of home brew... it was $120 for all of the equipment and ~$20/$25 for the ingredients. It's supposed to be a beer like Killians... obviously, it's probably not going to turn out as good as Killians but I'm sure I'll enjoy it more than those cheap ass beers that are $20...
