Well, if I attempt this it will really be a preheater for my boils. After reading the thread on using the tankless water heater this sounds like a viable alternative the that.
Does that sound like a good idea to you guys? Then again, the guys on the hookah forum thought the charcoal in the...
I'm not real sure. The coal was not wet. But I guess there were pockets with just enough moisture to to heat and rapidly build pressure to cause the little mini-explosions.
The guys on the hookah forum still laugh about that video. :)
As far as this microwave idea you guys are throwing...
I'm just hoping whoever tries this makes a video. Some guys on the hookah forum I frequent said they started natural coals in a microwave with great success. Others popped in and said that they tried it as well and it worked.
For giggles I decided to video tape it. Hopefully you guys get...
I would guess that this would differ between brands and models but my gut tells me these have a thermostat controlled system that does not allow the water to get hotter than 135F for safety reasons. Some systems *may* be able to handle producing hotter water if the thermostat was bypassed...
Thanks guys! I bought a couple of corny kegs and have my CO2 tank and reg and I was really close to kegging. But the mini-fridge I have is an older Sanyo with the freezer compartment that is a little too low for the corny and is going to require some tweaking.
I may take some pics and post a...
I guess I could not figure out a good wording for a search but I could not find anything.
I bottled my first batch yesterday. A friend of mine gave me 3 cases of 22 oz. bottles. I remembered seeing a link to a vid from here that said you want about an inch of air space from the top when you...
I never heard of or drank the stuff either. When I bought some used brewing equipment the guy gave me a few bottls, all were cappers except the one Salado Creek. The picture I posted is from Google. I will take a better pic of the one I have. They are very impressive looking.
I am getting a real good deal on these. I am keeping one and selling the other for $500. The only thing I can figure is maybe the guy made a New Years resolution to try and be nicer :)
Do you have a Harbor Freight nearby? They have some pretty descent sub pumps that will move a lot of water for less than $50.
I have to dig mine out of the garage from hell that I bought for another application and was very pleased with it.
This is not like mine but it will give you an idea...
Haha!!! All those guys in DC are drunks already.... so I guess there goes that theory :(
