I'm going inverted keg with tri clamp, I have 1 of the three keg bottom already cut. I'm not sure I should be inverting the BK. For the Mash tun what level of filtration is required ?
I would like a promo code please!
One quick question, I'm gathering pieces for 3 vessel electric eherms with bottom drain 50 L kegs. I think I need a level 3 filtration in the BK to make sure all the hop pellet will be caught, will it fit over the drain hole ?
I will go with it, I had some trouble removing the dip tube. the top is cut off. Going to use my grinder with a smoothing stone to remove the lip soon.
It depends mainly on two things imo. Do you have two pumps or only one. The pump you have can it pump wort (march/chugger/lg). Also your water temperature and batch size, would change the ideal solution.
If you intend to pump wort i would use the pump to push throught the chiller, these...
Do you have the standard 12" cut ?
If I went ahead and do as I say it would leave me with a bit more safety net for the boil overs.
If I were boiling in a kettle that was too small, I would probably start with my final volume (excluding boil off volume) and add water throughout the boil...
The ebay kegs seems overpriced. I will still watch the price. I have 3 euro keg already in my possession, but there's always something that you can do with a spare sanke as a homebrewer.
I would do my own cut of the top with angle grinder and or dremel that I already have. For the welding I...
I'm going 240v electric.
I have bought 3x 50 L euro sanke. Planning to do mostly 5g batches to start but I want to do 10g later I got a keezer and corny keg.
These Keg have a 13.2 Gal capacity, with the boil-off and the amount left with the trub, I think it would be dangerous for boil-overs...
Sorry to revive this old thread but. I just bought 3 euro keg last night and i was planning to do inverted keggle. Anyone know what kind of threading is necessary in euro neck.
I read on another site it is a Type S coupler that is needed for Euro style keg...
ULWD element offer a bit more safety for the element themselves. If you power them dry they might leave you enough time to turn them off before popin'. I read that you almost insta fry the HWD.
Me I would just use the about the same amount for a 5 gal batch around a cup of dextrose. The fact that the yeast is new vs still in the beer doesnt change the amount of sugar needed IMO.
Sorry for reviving the old thread but. My tank 20# is inside the keezer (7 C) so approximately 45 F. The gauge indicated 1500 psi at room temp or something along this number. Now in the keezer either I have a leak or something is wrong because It shows 400ish psi now.
I just received the breaker today I got the 50 amps but the break isn't installed in the enclosure. Not a problem I saw someone post how to install it. I wonder however is it normal that when I genlty shake the breaker it feels like small pieces are moving inside. Also, the test button is pushed.
