    Making a Lautertun

I'm making a MLT out of a cooler and I need a braided hose to help strain the wort. Does anyone know if it's safe to use a polymer and not stainless steel? It's this hose: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-100094502/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

It was a partial mash kit i bought at my LHBS, Belgian Strong Blonde, I call it "Blonde Bombshell". I wanted to amp up the alcohol (it was my first beer after all!) so I added 2 lbs of cane sugar.

Recipe Formulation Help - Smokey Maple Syrup

And you could taste the maple syrup when you used it as a primer. How much did you use? 3/4 cup for 5 gallons? Also I have heard smoked malts can overpower more delicate flavors like maple syrup. What do you think is a good amount to use?

Recipe Formulation Help - Smokey Maple Syrup

Hey fellow brewers, I am relatively new to this, but I wanted to make a beer that is both smokey and flavored with maple syrup. I think this would be delicious, but I don't know exactly how to achieve this. Should it be a porter or stout or something else? I would like to do this using partial...
