I look at the time spent brewing beer as a gain rather than an expense because it is always time well spent and enjoyed (even if I have a problem or two)
IMHO the ingredients are the only things that should count as cost. And by factoring in the enjoyment I get from working with those...
That is what impressess me about this forum as well and so far I think that is pretty much the homebrewing community in general. It's a great hobby for sure!
That's not far away at all. I grew up in the big city of Carpenter and used to run around in the Alton area but these days I only get that way for a visit to Fast Eddies once in a while.
