North Carolina 100% Stainless Steel BIAB Filter Basket by ArborFab

It should. As far as I can tell, the 1160 (what I have) and the 1060 are the same identical pot, it's just that the 1160 came with a stainless steel strainer basket which I never used because it didn't work out well for me with BIAB. I attached the specs for both pots from Bayou's website.

North Carolina 100% Stainless Steel BIAB Filter Basket by ArborFab

Yes it would definitely work for crawfish boil, crab boil, etc. Heck, you could pop the rubber feet off and you could use it as a huge frying basket for a fish fry too if you wanted.

North Carolina 100% Stainless Steel BIAB Filter Basket by ArborFab

I’ve recently migrated to a 3 vessel setup and no longer need this basket as I’m using a nylon bag in my new mash tun. I got this basket from ArborFab (they specialize in making these stainless brew baskets) and it fits perfectly in my Bayou Classic 1160 62-Quart Stainless Pot...

    Help with Mash Recirculation

Hey Jackyl, I'm totally happy with it. Going to the arbor fab basket in addition to changing my mill gap to .047" has completely eliminated any stuck recirc issues I had. I can now run my chugger wide open with my loc-line COFI and literally go take a nap and not have to worry about it. It's...

    Help with Mash Recirculation

I wanted to give you guys an update on this. I finally did what I intended to do with this which was 1) to create a home-made COFI system out of Loc-Line and b) switch from BIABag to BIABasket. I picked up a #400 mesh screen basket from Chad at ArborFab - fantastic product and couldn't...

    Help with Mash Recirculation

Great point. I'll have to give that a shot - never really considered maybe the issue lies at the top of the mash but it is quite possible. Thx for the tip! :mug:

    Help with Mash Recirculation

I am using the Bayou Classic 62qt with steamer basket also. I recirc straight into the top of the mash using a chugger pump. I have had what you describe happen on occasion, although i can catch it pretty fast due to the fact that I have a sight glass on the side of my kettle. When I see...

Autumn Seasonal Beer Samhain Pumpkin Ale

**EDIT** - you probably meant that what's in your list is what you have on hand and don't have time to hit the LHBS, so my bad. I'd probably go with the amber dude. Maybe some Munich 20L and bump up the amount to 1.25#? Just a thought.

First time kegging - got too excited

+1 on the keg lube, i've found that helps keep seals in much better shape over the long term. If your pressure release valve is leaking, on most ball lock kegs it simply screws right out and you can pop a brand new one in. I think they run around $12-15 at most LHBS's.
